This year's World Vision 6K run/walk is extra special. It's our 9th event in Copenhagen, and we are dedicating this 6K in memory of Kristy Tapke Sullivan who lost her battle with cancer last summer at age 54. Kristy and her daughter Terra participated in the first 6K we held in Copenhagen in 2017, and Kristy sponsored the boy on Terra's race bib. He was Kwame Cephas, and he was from Ghana (West Africa). Kristy participated every year until she was diagnosed with cancer. We miss Kristy, and we wish she was still here to do life with us. She had a kind and gentle spirit, and she had a passion for working with and helping kids. I look forward to honoring her memory through this event.
For information on how you can participate in the 6K, which for my area is on May 17 at Copenhagen Central School, go to global6k.worldvision.org/team/copenhagen and click on "Join our team."
